Pancrazio m
Italian: from the Greek epithet pankratios ‘all-powerful’ (from pan all, every + kratein to rule). This was a major title of Christ in Byzantine Greek, and was used as a personal name among early Christians. It was borne by a saint of the 1st century, who was stoned to death at Tauromenium (now Taormina) in Sicily, and who is still venerated on the island.
