This person is responsible for leading the design and sales team. He/she works with the sales staff, design director, designer/s, production managers, and advertising and public relations staff. One must have technical knowledge and expertise in design, merchandising, sales, production and the ability to identify new and upcoming trends. He/she must also be well organized, able to lead the design team, work with large accounts on special projects, and possess fabric sourcing, importing, and costing knowledge.
