1. прохода нет (кому от кого-чего) s.o. is constantly bothered by another, cannot rid himself of another or of another's badgering, ridicule etc:

- X-у от Y-а прохода нет{{}}≈ Y doesn't give X a moment's peace;

- X can't get rid of Y;

- X can't find refuge from Y;

|| прохода от Y-а нет{{}}≈ there's no getting rid of Y;

- there's no end to Y's nagging (pestering etc);

|| X-y прохода нет{{}}≈ X doesn't have a moment's peace;

- X doesn't have any peace at all.

     ♦ [Таня:] ...Всякий пристает; хоть бы Григорий Михайлыч, проходу от него нету (Толстой 3). [Т :] ... Every man is after me. Take Grigori Mikhailych, for example-there's no getting rid of him (3a).

2. прохода нет от кого disapprov there are a great number of, too many (people of a certain type): от Х-ов прохода нет there are tons of Xs; we (you, they) are swamped (overrun) with Xs.

     ♦ Везде одни бюрократы, прохода от них нет. There are bureaucrats everywhere-we're swamped with them.
