The view that instead of thinking of mind and body as things, whose relations with each other are then problematic, we should recognize that the one subject, a person, may be described equally in mental or physical terms, which then denote different aspects of the same entity. An attractive alternative to Cartesian dualism, it nevertheless faces the difficulty of avoiding an equally daunting dualism of properties, with similar problems about how these different properties interact.
