enviropig
n.
A transgenic pig that produces environmentally friendly manure.
Example Citation:
"Another example is the U of Guelph's recent creation of a trademarked Enviropig, which may be the first time a new breed of animal has been designed to combat an environmental problem. Pig manure normally contains an abundance of phosphorus that, when it runs off the land, pollutes water. Once in streams and lakes, the phosphorus robs the water of oxygen that sustains fish and other aquatic species. The Enviropigs produce manure that has much less phosphorus and is less damaging to the environment."
