Gonzalo Vega studied at the Instituto de Bellas Artes and UNAM, and made his screen debut in 1968. A prolific performer with numerous films, TV shows, and stage productions (including the very long-running "Señora presidente") to his credit. Vega won the Best Supporting Actor Ariel for El lugar sín límites, the Best Actor Ariel for Lo que importa es vivir, and also has two Diosas de Plata (for El juicio de Martín Cortés and Las Poquianchis).
