   although he appeared in only one "real" Mexican movie (La rebelión de los fantasmas in 1946), Gilbert Roland also worked in some co-productions and Hollywood movies shot in his native Mexico. However, the handsome native of Ciudad Juárez was primarily a Hollywood performer, from the 1920s well into the 1980s, first specializing in suave "Latin lover" roles, and later in support as suave "older Latin males." Among his wives was actress Constance Bennett.
