an anti-inflammatory drug (see NSAID) used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and gout. It is administered by mouth. Possible side-effects include sensitivity of skin to light, fluid retention, and bleeding from the bowel. Trade name: Rheumox.
