tinea on the feet, usually between the toes or on the soles, most often caused by Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, or Epidermophyton floccosum. It is characterized by intensely pruritic lesions varying from mild, chronic, and scaling to acute, exfoliative, pustular, and bullous.
