Easily melted; denoting specifically mixtures of certain chemical compounds that have a lower melting point than any of their individual ingredients; e.g., a solid, such as menthol, that when triturated with another solid of the same class, such as camphor, unites with it to form a liquid, the mixture having a lower melting point than either of its components. 2.
