processus anterior mallei
[TA] anterior process of malleus: a slender bony process that arises from the anterior aspect of the neck of the malleus, passes anteriorly and inferiorly to the petrotympanic fissure, and is attached to the petrous portion of the temporal bone by ligamentous fibers. Called also p. gracilis, folian process, long process of malleus, and Rau or ravian process.
