Cryptococcaceae
Cryp·to·coc·ca·ceae (krip″to-kŏ-kaґse-e) a form-family of Fungi Imperfecti, usually classified in the form-class Blastomycetes, although some authorities place it in Hyphomycetes; its members are yeastlike throughout most or all of their life cycle. It includes a number of pathogenic genera, such as Candida, Cryptococcus, Geotrichum, Malassezia, Rhodotorula, and Trichosporon.
