(DDP)
A procedure that must be followed when an employer contemplates dismissing or disciplining an employee. The statutory dispute resolution procedures in Schedule 2 to the Employment Act 2002 contain two DDPs: the standard DDP and the modified dismissal procedure. Employers may incorporate the steps contained in the statutory DDPs into their own internal procedures, such as disciplinary, capability, sickness and redundancy procedures.
