(ABI)
The trade association for the UK's insurance industry. The ABI represents approximately 40 companies who collectively transact around 95% of the business of UK insurance companies. The ABI co-ordinates and represents the interests of its members as investors. It assists its members with corporate governance issues, by responding to public consultation exercises by relevant bodies and it offers an Institutional Voting Information Service (IVIS) to members and non-members.
