Shapira, Mosheh Hayyim
(1902-70)
   Israeli politic-ian. He was born in Grodno, Belorussia. He was a founder of the Mizrahi youth movement. He settled in Palestine in 1925 and served on the executive of the Jewish Agency. After the founding of the State of Israel he represented the Ha-Poel ha-Mizrahi in the Knesset, serving as minister of immigration, the interior, religious affairs, social welfare and health.
