(Haliberalim Haatzmaim)
A political party formed in 1965 by members of the Progressive faction in the Liberal Party. The Liberal Party split when the majority decided to join with Herut to form Gahal. Those who were concerned with the apparent rightward shift formed the new party. It contested the Knesset elections beginning in 1965 and joined in the governments led by Labor until 1977, when they lost their last Knesset seat. They later joined the Alignment.
