Charis f
English: from Greek kharis grace. This was a key word in early Christian thought, but was not used as a name in the early centuries after Christ or in the Middle Ages. As a given name it seems to be an innovation of the 17th century, chosen either to express the original idea of charity, or else as a reference to the three Graces (Greek kharites) of classical mythology (Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia, of which the first and third have also been occasionally used as given names).
