Wenceslas m
Latinized form of an East European Slavonic name, composed of the elements ventie more, greater + slav glory. St Wenceslas was a 10th-century duke of Bohemia noted for his piety, the grandson of St Ludmilla. He is regarded as the patron of Bohemia, which now forms part of Czechoslovakia. This was also the name of four kings of Bohemia in the period covering the 13th to the 15th century.
