Lucius m
Old Roman given name, probably ultimately a derivative of Latin lux light. This is occasionally used as a given name in the English-speaking world, especially in America, but it is not as common as its feminine counterpart, LUCIA (SEE Lucia). Lucius was the name of two early Christians mentioned in the New Testament (Acts 13: 1; Romans 16: 21), and it was also borne by three popes.
