Kylie f
English: of Australian origin, said to represent an Aboriginal term for the boomerang. However, in view of the inappropriateness of this meaning, it seems more likely that the name is an artificial invention influenced by KYLE (SEE Kyle) and KELLY (SEE Kelly). It is extremely popular in Australia and, in part due to the fame of the Australian actress and singer Kylie Minogue (b. 1968), it is gradually coming into use in the rest of the English-speaking world.
Variant: Kyleigh.
