Dorofei m
Russian: from Greek Dōrotheus, composed of the elements dōron gift + theos god (cf. THEODORE (SEE Theodore) and DOSIFEI (SEE Dosifei)). The name was borne by various early saints much venerated in the Eastern Church, including a 4th-century bishop of Tyre and the abbots Dorotheus the Archimandrite (7th century) and Dorotheus the Younger (11th century).
