Christabel
Christabel f
English: a 19th-century coinage from the first syllable of CHRISTINE (SEE Christine), combined with the productive suffix -bel (see BELLE (SEE Belle)). The coinage was apparently made by Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772–1834) in a poem called Christabel (1816). The name was also borne by the suffragette Christabel Pankhurst (1880–1958), in whose honour it is now some-times bestowed.
Variants: Christabelle, Christabella.
