Natural fiber made from fruit or vegetable plants. Vegetable fibers include cotton, linen, flax, jute, ramie, sisal, and hemp. An example of a fruit fiber is coconut, which is not only durable but has inherent wicking properties. Stalks of wheat, rice, and barley are made into straw, bamboo, and grass fibers.
