Miu Miu
   This collection was launched by Italian manufacturer Prada in 1992, named after designer Miuccia Bianca Prada's nickname. The line is aimed at a hip, younger customer and is slightly less expensive that the Prada line. Creative aspects of the Miu Miu are overseen by Miuccia Prada and the collection is sold in their own freestanding stores, as well as in department and specialty stores worldwide. In 1996, a Miu Miu store opened in New York's SoHo and, in 2005, actress Kim Bassinger was retained for the brand's advertising campaign.
