There is clear evidence, even allowing for the influence of late literary sources, that the Etruscans had a highly ordered cosmological construction of the relationship between nature and culture. The Piacenza liver provides material rather than literary evidence for the structuring of the sky (but also by inference of the earth and subterranean zones) into regions associated with particular divinities.
