One of two solar divinities of the Etruscans (probably equivalent to the Greek Helios and the Roman Sol), seen on mirrors, whereas the other solar divinity, Cavtha, may have been more employed in a cult context. The earliest appearances appear to be from the fifth century BC, as a young winged man in a short tunic. He appears on the Piacenza liver.
