ETRUSCAN ART
Etruscan art has traditionally been seen as a passive eclectic reflection of external influences, situated awkwardly between the Phoenician, Greek, and Roman worlds. Innovative reassessment by a small group of scholars has examined the selective agency of Etruscans in their construction and development of art and material culture.
