Born in Saint-Gilles, architect Paul Picquet studied at the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts (1893-1897). His designs reflected largely an art deco style as exhibited in approximately 40 residences and townhouses in the Berk-endael district in Ixelles, including his own home at avenue Molière 30. The architect Robert Picquet is his son.
