(d. 80 BC)
Daughter of Ptolemy IX and Cleopatra IV. She became the official consort of her uncle, Ptolemy X, after he took over the throne from her father, and following the former’s deposition in 88 BC of her father Ptolemy IX. She became sole ruler of Egypt upon his death in 80 BC but was forced by the Romans to accept her first cousin and stepson, Ptolemy XI Alexander II, as her consort.
