Minshat Abu Omar
Modern name for a site of a cemetery in the northeastern Delta of Lower Egypt. The graves date from the late Predynastic Period to the Early Dynastic Period, and pottery found there shows strong affinities with the Naqada culture of Upper Egypt but also includes imports from Palestine. Minshat Abu Omar was excavated by a German expedition from 1978–1991.
