Arabic name employed by Egyptologists for the small stone blocks decorated with relief used to build temples by Akhenaten during the Amarna Period. Following the destruction of Akhenaten’s temples, the blocks were reused as filling in temple contruction in Karnak, Hermopolis, Antinoopolis, and other sites and so have been preserved. Atalatat block from Hermopolis is the only evidence that Tutankhamun was the son of a king.
